Shankarpali (Sweet)


  1. Clarified Butter / Dalda (Sajuk Tup / Dalda) – 1 cup
  2. MilkĀ  – 3/4 cup
  3. Water – 3/4 cup
  4. Salt 2 – 3 pinch
  5. Sugar (Sakhar) – 1 1/2 cup
  6. Refined Flour (Maida) – as much as you need to make a dough

  1. Mix all ingredients except refined flour in a pan.
  2. Now keep the mixture on a medium flame and let it be there for atleast 5 min.
  3. When the mixture blends well take off the flame and keep aside for cooling.
  4. After cooling add refined flour in it with the help of a spoon.
  5. Knead the refined flour into a soft dough.
  6. Now make small balls and roll them thick and flat.
  7. With the use of a knife or a pizza cutter or a special thing usedĀ  in preparing shankarpali ; cut into small pieces.
  8. Keep skillet on a medium flame with oil in it.
  9. Deep fry those small pieces till they become golden brown and crisp.
  10. Store it in air tight container after cooling.
